Project narrative
After completing the parish's initial school, gymnasium, offices, and worship space in 2015, MODUS returned for the next phase of growth at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church in Ankeny. The approximately 14,900-square-foot, $3.6 million Phase 2 addition was designed with INVISION and completed in 2020.
MODUS provided mechanical, electrical, and lighting design for the multi-phase expansion, extending the building's infrastructure to support additional sanctuary and school functions while maintaining dependable operation of the occupied campus. The work required careful coordination between new systems and the original facility so the parish could continue serving its congregation and students during its planned development.
The completed addition builds on the original project's emphasis on efficient, maintainable systems and adaptable spaces, giving St. Luke's infrastructure that can support continued parish growth.
